Trading Post
Honoring What Everyone Brings To The Table
Our Trading Post is a community-centered space that uplifts trade, barter, and mutual care by offering functional goods rooted in Haudenosaunee foodways and traditional lifeways.

Why We Do It
The Trading Post is a space to practice older ways of exchange rooted in respect and reciprocity. We use it to help community members recognize that everyone has something to offer beyond money, whether through food, handmade goods, skills, or time. Over the years, we have learned how to make fair trades and honor the labor, knowledge, and intention behind what each person brings.
We support the Trading Post through donations and grant funds that help us purchase goods from Indigenous and allied producers. We prioritize items our community seeks most, especially foods, utilitarian goods, and black ash baskets, which remain important to Haudenosaunee everyday life and ceremony.
What We Trade
The items we accept and offer reflect our core values of traditional knowledge, land connection, and community wellness. We aim to keep the space focused, functional, and rooted in what people truly need and use.
Currently, we are accepting:
-
Shelf-stable homemade foods, such as maple syrup, wild rice, jellies, and dried goods
-
Handmade plant-based items, including salves, traditional medicines, teas, and soaps
-
Functional traditional crafts, like black ash baskets and tanned leather hides
-
Frozen wild game that is clean, well-packaged, and clearly labeled
Please note:
We are not accepting jewelry or clothing at this time. While we value the care that goes into these items, they are not often requested by our community, and space is limited. We are committed to prioritizing food and functional goods that align with our mission.
Occasionally, we may reach out for help on the farm in exchange for trade, depending on the season and our needs.
